Journo Humayun Zaman hospitalised with cancer

Senior journalist Humayun Zaman has been admitted to hospital in the city in a critical condition after being diagnosed with lung cancer.

Associate Editor of the Dhaka-based English daily New Age, he was diagnosed with cancer recently while undergoing treatment after getting injured in a car accident months back.

He is now undergoing treatment at Shomorita Hospital Ltd, Panthapath in the city under the supervision of Prof Dr Sarwar Alam.

He underwent a surgery on Sunday afternoon for the ailment.

Years back he underwent stenting for his heart ailment. All have been requested to pray for his early recovery.
