Journo Shaban Mahmood new Minister (Press) at Delhi HC

Journalist Shaban Mahmood has been made Minister (Press) at Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi for two years, reports UNB.

Shaban Mahmood is currently working in the daily Bangladesh Pratidin as the special correspondent.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a gazette notification on his contractual appointment on Monday.

Senior journalist and former Bangladesh Bureau Chief of Associated Press (AP) Farid Hossain, who is serving in the post, is likely to return home in December upon completion of his tenure.

Farid Hossain joined Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi as Minister (Press) in September 2016.
