Parliamentary Standing Committee for Social Welfare Ministry asked Tuesday the ministry to take necessary steps for increasing allowances for insolvent persons with disabilities in the next annual budget, reports BSS.
The recommendation was made at the 7th meeting of the committee held at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its chairman M Mozammel Hossain in the chair.
Committee members Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali, State Minister for Social Welfare Ministry Promod Mankin, Monoranjan Sheel Gopal, Ayesha Ferdous, M Habib e Millat, Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, M Abdul Matin and Lutfa Taher attended the meeting.
