JU entry test begins today

The admission test for the academic session 2023-24 begins today (Thursday) at Jahangirnagar University (JU) with the exam of 'A Unit' under the Faculty of Mathematical and Physical Sciences and the Institute of Information Technology (IIT).

The examination for this unit is conducted in six shifts, beginning at 9:00 am. A total of 50,312 students have applied for 446 seats available in this unit.

The entry test for this year will extend until February 29. As per the Central Admission Management Committee, there will be 108 candidates competing for each seat in this year's admission test. Overall, 1,97,359 applications have been received for 1,844 seats across six units and one institute.

On Sunday, at 9 am, the test for the admission to Department of Fine Arts and Drama and Dramatics under the 'C-1 unit' will commence. A total of 4,210 students will vie for 64 seats in this unit. Additionally, on the same day starting from the 2nd shift at 10:25 am, the 'C' unit examination of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities will be conducted in a total of 5 shifts. There have been 39,738 applications received for 388 seats in the C unit.

The exam of 'D Unit' under the Biological Sciences Faculty is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday (February 27 and 28). There are 69,281 candidates competing for admission to 310 seats in this unit.

On Thursday (February 29), the examination for the 'B Unit' under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law will take place in the first two shifts. There are 17,654 applicants vying for 386 seats in this unit.

Additionally, in the last two shifts of the day, the examination for the 'E Unit' under the Business Studies Faculty will take place, with 12,645 students participating for 200 seats.
