JU professor shot, robbed of Tk 0.5m

SAVAR, Jan 18 (UNB): Armed criminals shot a professor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) and took away Tk 0.5 million (5 lakh) from him in broad daylight in front of the Sub-registrar's office here Monday.
Prof Ayub Ali, a teacher of Archaeology department of the university, was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in critical condition from a local clinic.
