JU signs MoUs to boost mutual collaboration

Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Monday signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with the aim of enhancing collaboration in education and healthcare.

JU sources said an MoU was inked with Police Staff College and another with Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib Memorial KPJ Specialised Hospital and Nursing College.

Both the signing ceremonies took place in the new administrative building of the university.

Vice Rector Prof Md Rezaul Haq, PPM, of Police Staff College and JU Treasurer Rasheda Akhtar signed an MoU on the behalf of their respective sides.

This agreement facilitates collaboration between teachers and students from different departments at JU and trainees from Police Staff College. It provides opportunities for joint endeavours in education, research, training, seminars, workshops, internships and other related activities.

Professor Md Nurul Amin from JU Public Administration department and Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, member, directing staff (training) at the Police Staff College, will serve as focal points for their respective institutions.

In another development, KPJ Specialised Hospital CEO Md Taufik Bin Ismail and JU Treasurer Prof Dr Rasheda Akhtar inked an MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.

JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Nurul Alam and Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Professor Sheikh Md Monzurul Huq, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Dr Md Mostafa Feeroz among others, attended the event. signing ceremonies.
