Jubo Dal leader gunned down in city

A Jubo Dal leader was killed and his manager was injured when assailants sprayed bullets on them in Pallabi area of the city Monday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as M Shahabuddin Munshi alias Barek (38), son of Shamsuddin of the area and also a transport workers' leader.
The police said a gang of four-five unidentified miscreants laid ambush near the house of Shahabuddin, and opened fire on Shahabuddin when he along with his manager Abdul Khaleq was returning home at about 7:30am, leaving them critically injured.
Local people rushed to the spot and took injured Shahabuddin and Khaleq to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital where Shahabuddin died at about 8am.
A case was filed in this connection with the Pallabi thana.
