Judicial inquiry commission starts work

The judicial inquiry commission formed to investigate the killings of protesters held its first meeting on Sunday. The commission headed by Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman held the meeting at the conference room of the Supreme Court at 4.00 pm.

The commission discussed over plan of actions of the inquiry in the meeting. Cabinet secretary Md Mahmudul Hossain Khan was also present at the meeting.

Md Shafiqul Islam, Public Relations Officer of the Supreme Court, confirmed the updated to the FE. However, he could not give details of the meeting.

Earlier on July 18, the government formed a judicial inquiry committee with High Court Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman as its head to investigate the killings of protesters in ongoing clashes.
