JUST team calls on President

A delegation of Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) led by its Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Abdus Sattar called on President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban Sunday, reports UNB.

During the meeting, the delegation apprised the President that at present, there are 16 departments in the Jessore University of Science and Technology while ten more departments will be opened by 2018-19.

The delegation also informed that currently 2470 students are studying in the university, among them 30 per cent are female.

Recently, a new department named Physical Education and Sports Science has been opened in the university.

President Abdul Hamid appreciated the activities of the university and wished success of the university. He assured his cooperation in resolving some problems relating to research activities.
