The government will bring back Kamrul Islam, the prime accused in the teenage boy Rajon murder case, within two weeks as the Royal court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has approved his deportation, reports UNB.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam confirmed it in a Facebook post in his verified official page.
"Saudi Royal court approved deportation of Kamrul. They have already issued a letter to Interpol. Few other paper work should not take more than two weeks," he wrote.
Earlier, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Haque told reporters that Rajon murder accused Kamrul Islam would be brought back home from Saudi Arabia soon with the help of the Interpol.
The Saudi Interior Ministry earlier approved the extradition of Kamrul to Bangladesh.
On July 8, 13-year-old boy Sheikh Samiul Alam Rajon, son of Sheikh Azizur Rahman of Badeali village in Sylhet Sadar upazila, was brutally tortured to death over a theft at Sundar Ali Market in Kumargaon area of Sylhet city.
