Kuwait, UNESCO greet Hasina

Prime Minister (PM) of Kuwait Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al Sabah and its national assembly Speaker Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her assumption of office as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, reports UNB.
In a message to Hasina, Kuwait premier renewed the commitment to strengthen bilateral relations and areas of cooperation between Bangladesh and Kuwait.
In separate messages, Kuwait Speaker said an affirmation and recognition of the leadership of the PM on local and international levels which helped at the current sensitive stage to spread the spirit of new leadership based on traditions of democracy and reform to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the people of Bangladesh and to strengthen the brotherly relations with all countries.
BSS report adds: Irina Bokova, director general of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), has congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her assumption of office of the PM for the second consecutive term.
The UNESCO Secretary General hoped that Bangladesh would overcome the challenges in the spirit of mutual understanding, reconciliation and harmony.
