Kuwaiti representatives call on DU VC

Deputy Secretary General for Waqf Affairs, Quwait Awqaf Public Foundation, of Kuwait Mohammed Al-Jalahma paid a courtesy call on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique Thursday at the latter's office, said a press release.
Charge'd Affaires of the Embassy of Kuwait in Dhaka Anas Ebrahim Al-Saloon was also present.
They discussed matters of mutual interest and possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative programmes between DU and the government of Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti representative assured the VC of providing necessary funds for the beautification, renovation and reconstruction of the university's central mosque.
He also assured to provide funds for constructing a new hall solving the residential problems of the students.
DU VC apprised the guest of the academic programmes and facilities of university.
