Lightning kills 6 in 3 dists

Six people, including a college student, were killed in separate incidents of lightning strike in Manikganj, Bogra, Thakurgaon and Meherpur districts Sunday, reports UNB.
In Manikganj, a college student was killed when a thunderbolt struck him at Abudanga village in Daulatpur Upazila in the afternoon.
The dead is Manik Miah (22), a first year student of Matilal Degree College and son of Ahmed Ali of the village.
In Meherpur, a farmer was killed by a lightning strike at Amjhupi village in Sadar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Majid, son of late Shamsuddin of the village.
In Thakurgaon, two people were killed when they were hit by lightning in separate incidents in Pirganj upazila.
Besides, Khamir Ali (45), son of late Ali Mohammad, died being hit by lightning at Bhabanipur village in the upaizla.
In Bogra, two people were killed by lightning in separate incidents in Gabtali upazila.
The dead are Ratan Miah (30) of Durgatahata village, and Rahim (32) of Dupchachia village.
