Lightning strike kills two brothers in Barguna

BARGUNA, Sept 20 (UNB): Two brothers were killed by lightning strike at Gulishakhali village in Amtali upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Sobhan Khan, 35, and Yusuf Khan, 30, sons of Entaz Ali Khan of the area.

Gulishakhali Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam said the brothers were returning home by motorcycle from Kekhuani Bazar around 2pm and took shelter under a tin-shed house when it started raining.

"They were killed on the spot a few minutes later after being struck by lightning," Nurul added.
