Low over west of Jessore, adjoining area

July 07, 2007 00:00:00

The well-marked low over west of Jessore and adjoining area moved west-northwestwards, intensified into a land depression and is lying over West Bengal and adjoining area Friday morning, reports UNB.
It is likely to move in a north-westerly direction further inland, said a special bulletin of the Met office.
"Steep pressure gradient persists over North Bay and squally weather may continue over the ports," it said.
Maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Mongla have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three.
