Low-pressure area may form over Bay, rain likely

A low-pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay and adjoining area around 21 October and it may intensify into a depression, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department. The seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to North Bay.
Rain/thunder showers is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions in the next 24 hours from 06:00 am today (Monday), according to the Met Office. Weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The highest temperature in the country on Sunday was recorded at 36.0 degrees Celsius in Sylhet, while the lowest temperature at 22.4 degrees in Tetulia.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius on Sunday and the lowest was 25.5 degrees.
