Lower court judges get 200 tabs

As part of its move to digitise the judiciary, the government is providing 200 tablets for the lower court judges, reports UNB.

Judges of the district and session's courts across the country will receive the digital gadgets.

State Minister for Information and Communi-cation Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over the tabs to Law Minister Anisul Huq at the latter's office in the city on Monday.

While receiving the tabs, the law minister said the judges are getting the tabs as part of the digitalisation of the judiciary.

The Law Ministry collected the tabs within two days after Chief Justice SK Sinha at a reception in the city on Saturday observed that the judiciary lags behind the other departments of the state in terms of digitalisation.
