MA Hashem gets elected chairman of NSU Trust

MA Hashem, a founder member of the North South University (NSU) Trust, has been unanimously elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the university, says a press release.
He was elected at the 85th Board of Trustees meeting recently.
He was also elected chairman of the North South Foundation for Education and Research at its Board of Governors meeting.
He took charge of the office on Sunday.
A renowned industrialist of the country, MA Hashem is the former member of parliament, chairman of the Partex Group and adviser to the Janata Insurance Company Ltd.
He is also the founder of Noakhali Diabetic Samity and founder president of Noakhali M A Hashem Degree College.
He also served the NSU Foundation as its chairman for the year 2003-2004 and 2012-2013. The North South Foundation for Education and Research is the founder of NSU, the first private university of the country.
