'Maliha Khatun Scholarship Fund' formed at DU

A scholarship fund of Tk 0.3 million (three lakh) was formed at Dhaka University (DU) Sunday to provide financial assistance to the poor but brilliant students of the university's Bangla Department every year.
Rokeya Sakhawat Swarani Samity (RSSS) President Fauzia Karim handed over a cheque for the amount to DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter's office at noon for the fund titled 'Dr Maliha Khatun Memorial Scholarship Fund'.
Dr Maliha Khatun was the founder president of RSSS. DU Acting Registrar Syed Rejaur Rahman, RSSS Secretary Lily Haque and Principal Khaleda Habib, among others, attended the occasion.
