Man burnt to death in city

A man was burnt to death as a fire broke out in a multistoried building in the city's Fakirapool area Sunday night, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Ebadat (35), a security guard of the building.
Shahjadi Sultana, an official of the fire service control room, said the fire originating from electric short circuit broke out in the 16-storey 'Paramount Height' building, adjacent to Fakirapool Water Tank, at around 12:02 am Sunday.
On information, 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze at around 3:30 am.
