Man electrocuted in Jhenidah

JHENIDAH, Apr 18: A man was electrocuted in Jhenidah Friday.

The dead was identified as Akkas Ali (60), son of Samed Ali Mondol of Gayashpur village under Sadar Upazila of the district.

Witnesses said he came in contact with a live electric wire while climbing a horseradish tree to collect vegetables in the bungalow boundary of judges of Jhenidah Judge Court at around 9:00am.

Sub-inspector of Jhenidah Sadar Thana Md Salauddin said his hanging body was recovered from the tree and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
