BRAHMANBARIA, July 21 (UNB): A Speedy Trial Tribunal on Thursday sentenced a man to two years rigorous imprisonment for taking bribe.
The court also fined the convict Haji Mobarak alias Dumba Haji Tk 10,000, in default, to suffer six months RI more.
According to the prosecution, joint forces arrested Mobarak, a broker, red handed recently when he was taking bribe from Rina Begum of Noyadil village in Akhaura Upazila to help drop the names of some of her relatives wanted in a case.
After examining records and witnesses Judge Mahamudul Alam handed down the verdict.
