Mannan new envoy to Mauritius

The government has appointed Md Abdul Mannan Howlader high commissioner of Bangladesh to Mauritius.

The secretary to the government is currently posted on deputation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr Howlader served as the member of Planning Commission, secretary at the Ministry of Shipping, chairman at Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), DG at Compulsory and Mass Education, member at Bangladesh Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (BCSIR), Deputy Commissioner of Laxmipur district and also deputy secretary at the Economic Relations Division and the Ministry of Water Resources.

Mr Howlader, a member of the BCS cadre in 1981 batch, completed BSS (Hons) and MSS in Economics from Dhaka University.
