Manzur Elahi reelected DUAA president

Former adviser to the caretaker government Syed Manzur Elahi and former secretary Raquibuddin Ahmed have been reelected president and secretary general respectively of the 33-member executive committee of Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA) Friday.
The election for the tenure of 2010-2013 was held at DU TSC auditorium in the evening following the annual general meeting of the association with its president Mr Elahi in the chair.
Other elected office bearers include vice-presidents Selina Khaleque and Monowara Islam, senior vice-president AF Shahed Ali, treasurer Abbasuddin Ahmed, joint secretaries Dewan Rashidul Hasan and Ranjan Karmakar, organising secretary Suraya Alam, literary and publications secretary Shaikh Sheraj, cultural secretary Refaquat Hossain Chowdhury Fahim, publicity and public relations secretary Manzurul Ahsan Bulbul, education and library secretary Shamsad Begum and office secretary Asraful Haque Mukul.
The elected members are Asaf Khan, Munira Khan, AKM Shamsuddin, Dr Azizunnahar Islam, Prof Mahmudul Haque, Dr Pravat Chandra Biswas, Solyman Khan Mojlish, Monibur Reza Chowdhury, Mahbuba Khanam Kalpana, Ommay Batul Mahmuda Khatun Mina, Syed Aminur Rahman, Gopal Chandra Debnath, Rahul Amin, Md Babar Asraful Haque Khan, Dr Abdur Razzaque Talukdar, Molla Abu Kawser Mohammad, Dr ASM Abdun Nur, AKM Afzalur Rahman Babu and Manzurul Haque Lablu.
Former establishment secretary Anwarul Bar Chowdhury conducted the election as the chief election commissioner.
