Matiur Rahman Chowdhury new NOAB president

The Annual General Meeting of the Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) was held at Times Media Ltd Building in Dhaka on Saturday.

The meeting approved the audited financial report of the organisation for the preceding year. It was presided over by the outgoing president of NOAB,

DR Masrur Reaz, chairman of the Election Board, declared the following new executive committee of NOAB for the period 2026-27, all members being elected uncontested:

President -- Mr Matiur Rahman Chowdhury; Vice President -- Mr ASM Shahidullah Khan; Treasurer -- Mr Altamash Kabir; Members (ten) -- Mr AK Azad; Mr Matiur Rahman, Mr Mahfuz Anam; Mrs Tasmima Husain; Mr AMM Bahauddin; Mr Dewan Hanif Mahmud; Mr Mozammel Huq; Mr MA Malek; Dr Ramizuddin Chowdhury and Syed Nasim Manzur.
