Matlebur Rahman passes away

BAGERHAT, Dec 18 (BSS/UNB): Matlebur Rahman Chowdhury, father-in-law of lawmaker Sheikh Helal Uddin and advisor of Orion Group, died at United Hospital in the capital this morning at the age of 82.

He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday expressed shock at the death of Matlubur Rahman Chowdhury.

In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed her deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Chairman of Parliament Standing Committee on Fisheries and Livestock Ministry Advocate Mir Sawkat Ali Badsha, Bagerhat Pourasabha Mayor Khan Habibur Rahman and leaders of Bagerhat Zila Awami League expressed their deep shock at the death of Matlebur Rahman.
