MBBS admission tests held

The admission tests for MBBS course in the 14 government medical colleges were held simultaneously from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Friday, reports bdnews24.com.
Special security measures were taken at the examination halls on the eve of the tests. A civil vigilance team led by a magistrate was deployed at every centre.
A total of 24,361 students sat the test this year, competing for 2,060 first-year MBBS placements in 14 government medical colleges.
In the capital, admission tests were held at Dhaka University Arts Building, Eden College and Tejgaon College, with 10,257 admission seekers having a go at it.
"All kinds of measures were taken to prevent irregularities and cheating in the MBBS admission test this time," Directorate of Health chief Shahjahan Biswas told the news agency.
"We have received primary reports that the tests were held peacefully," he added.
