Mentally challenged girl \\\'raped\\\' in city

Police rescued a mentally challenged girl with signs of being raped from the city’s Pallabi area on Wednesday.

Informed, a team of Pallabi thana police rescued the 18-year-old girl from in front of a house at Block-B of Mirpur Section -12 around 10:30 am.

She was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical test, UNB confirmed.

Contacted, officer-in-charge of Pallabi Police Station Dadan Fakir said the girl is mentally imbalanced as she is even unable to remember her name.

The girl is believed to have been raped but it cannot be confirmed unless medical test is done, the OC added.
