Mercury rises in city despite drizzling

Mercury in the city rose further on Tuesday despite drizzling in some places.
Humidity was 80 per cent in the morning and 59 per cent in the evening.
The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 34.5 degrees Celsius on the day and minimum temperature was 26.9 degrees until 6:30 pm.
The wind speed increased in the afternoon which, however, eased the hotness to some extent, said Met Office.
The wind speed was 9.0 kph on an average which increased to 15-20 kph in the afternoon for some times.
The country's highest temperature of 36.2 degrees was recorded in Patuakhali and the lowest of 23.8 degrees in Tangail. The country's highest rainfall of 150 mm was found in Tentulia on Tuesday.
Light to moderate rain was likely to occur at a few places over all the eight divisions of the country in next twenty-four hours starting from Tuesday 6:30 pm.
The sun sets at 6:08 pm today (Wednesday) and will rise at 5:43am tomorrow (Thursday).
