Meteorological Day today

World Meteorological Day will be observed today (Tuesday) in the country with due enthusiasm like the other member countries of the world, reports UNB.
The theme of this year is: "60 years of Services for Your Safety and Well-being," said an ISPR release.
It said, to facilitate international collaboration in meteorology, including coordination in observations and standardised instrumentation and better forecasting, the day will be observed in all the 189 member countries of World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) will arrange an exhibition on weather observing instruments, weather charts and documentary film from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on its headquarters premises. The programmes will remain open for all.
