Rain/thunder showers with intense lightning flashes and temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at many places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00 am today (Friday), according to the Met Office.
It may also occur at a few places over Chattogram Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barishal divisions.
Mild heat wave may sweep over the districts of Madaripur, Tangail, Chandpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Satkhira, Jashore and Bagerhat.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 37.2 degrees Celsius at Khulna and minimum was 21.0 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
The highest temperature in the city was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday and the lowest was 28.9 degrees.
