Mild heat wave may sweep today

Rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Chattogram and Sylhet divisions in the next 24-hour from 06:00am today (Friday), according to the Met Office.

Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.

Mild heat wave may sweep over the districts of Dhaka, Kishoreganj, Rangamati, Chandpur, Rajshahi, Pabna and Kushtia.

Day temperature may fall slightly and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded at 37.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati and minimum was 19.1 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
