Arrested chairman of 'Child and Old Age Care' Milton Samadder used to beat children and elderly persons at his torture cell after taking yaba, DMP Additional Police Commissioner Harun-or-Rashid said on Monday.
"Milton Samadder is a drug addict who used to take yaba regularly. Only an addicted person can beat children and elderly persons mercilessly," he said while talking to the media at his Detective Branch (DB) office in the capital.
"Milton Samadder has confessed to taking yaba. The brutality he has committed against children and elderly persons at his torture cell is inhumane."
The police officer said the pictures of torture by Milton Samadder on elderly people and children went viral on the social media.
The detective police arrested Milton in Mirpur area of the capital on May 1, 2024. Three cases were filed against him with Mirpur Model Police Station.
