Minor girl drowned in Brahmanbaria

BRAHMANBARIA, Sept 13 (UNB): A baby girl drowned in a pond at Laxmipur village in Nasirnagar Upazila Tuesday.
The dead was identified as Tania, one and half years old and daughter of Meraj Miah of the village.
Sources said when Tania was playing at the courtyard of their house she suddenly slipped into the pond. Later family members found her body floating in the pond.
Another report from Jhalakati adds: A little boy was killed by snakebite at Jelkhana area in Rajapur Upazila Monday.
Sources said a poisonous snake bit Shihab (6) son of Shaheed Hawlader, Sunday evening and he was rushed to the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where he died Monday night.
