Missing college student rescued

NATORE, Jun 20 (UNB): A college student, who went missing from Chhatiandighi village in Singra Upazila on June 13, was rescued from Sherkol area of the upazila early Friday.
The rescued is Rakib Hasan Akram, a student of Bogra Azizul Haque College and son of Habibur Rahman of the Chhatiandighi village.
Victim's family members and locals said Rakib went out of his house to say Shab-e-Barat prayers in a local mosque on the night of June 13. But he did not return home.
Locals found a sack lying by Natore-Bogra highway in Sherkol area in the morning. When they opened the sack, Rakib was found in a senseless condition inside it.
He was first sent to Singra Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital in Bogra.
A police team, led by officer-in-charge Nazrul Islam Jewel of Singra Police Station, visited the victim at the hospital.
