Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid presided over the meeting. Commandant of MIST Maj Gen Md Abul Khair welcomed the minister.
At the meeting, various important issues such as introduction of course system instead of semester system, approval of amended undergraduate admission test system-2018 and approval of 15-week duration for every term were discussed and decisions were also taken.
Chief of Army Staff, Acting Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, Principal Staff Officer Armed Forces Division, VC of BUP, Engineer-in-Chief and high-ranking representatives of BUET, Dhaka University, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information and Communication Technology attended the meeting.
