Mob beats two \\\'robbers\\\' dead in Keraniganj

KERANIGANJ, Nov 23 (UNB): Two suspected robbers were beaten to death by a mob in Dharmasur area under Keraniganj Model thana early Sunday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Quoting locals, Majibar Rahman, officer-in-charge of the thana, said local people caught the two robbers along with lethal weapons about 2:00am while a gang of robbers, numbering 8/10, was preparing to commit a robbery in the area.

The villagers then gave them a severe thrashing, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies in the morning and sent those to Mitford Hospital morgue for autopsy.
