Mohanagar Sarbojaneen Puja Committee gets president, GS

Jayanta Kumar Deb and Dr Tapash Chandra Paul have been elected president and general secretary (GS) respectively of the Mohanagar Sarbojaneen Puja Committee, says a statement.

The two-year executive committee was declared on Friday at a biennial council at Dhakeshwari National Temple in the city.

Jayanta Kumar Deb is a benevolent social worker. He obtained his Master's degree from the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Dhaka. He is serving as the Vice President of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad.

Dr Tapash Chandra Paul is the CFO of Mercantile Bank PLC. He is the founder president of Bankers' Welfare Club Bangladesh. He is also International Communication Secretary of Dhaka University Alumni Association.

Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor Dr Samanta Lal Sen was present as the chief guest.
