Mongla port harbour chief suspended

KHULNA, Oct 4 (UNB): Captain Shariful Ahsan, chief of Mongla port harbour, was suspended Wednesday for various charges including corruption.
Mongla Port Authority Chairman Ashraf Mohammad Iqbal told the news agency Thursday that Shariful Ahsan was suspended on charge of "corruption, inefficiency, negligence to duty and misbehavior."
Chief security officer of the port Lt. Commander M Shah Alam will act as acting chief of the harbour, sources said.
