Mother, child killed in Kishoreganj road mishap

KISHOREGANJ, Aug 10 (UNB): A young mother and her minor child were killed in a road accident in South Mansantosh area of Karimganj Upazila Sunday morning.

Police and witnesses said the accident occurred on the Kishoreganj-Chamrabandar road at about 9:00 am as a Kishoreganj bound bus from Chamrabandar ran over Bilkis Begum (25) and her 10 month-old boy Jidmi when they were crossing the road.

Bilkis died on the spot while Jidmi succumbed to his injuries at the local health complex at about 11 am.
