Mother killed by her son

GOPALGANJ, July 5 (UNB): A woman, who was hit by her son at Chorkhuli village under Kotalipara Upazila of the district, died at Khulna Medical College Hospital Monday.
Local people said Litu Khan quarreled with his mother Moyna Begum Saturday over a trifling matter. At one stage, Litu Khan hit his mother with a stick leaving her critically injured.
Moyna Begum was rushed to the Upazila Health Complex and following the deterioration of her condition she was shifted to the KMCH where she died at night.
Another report from Natore adds: An HSC examinee who was stabbed by terrorists at Doyarampur Cantonment bus stand on Tuesday afternoon died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital Wednesday.
Police said a gang of assailants hacked Zakaria Faruk indiscriminately when he was waiting at the bus stand to go to Dhaka. Police suspected that previous rivalry might be the reason behind the murder.
