Mothers' gathering held in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT, Aug 21 (BSS): Speakers at a mothers' gathering held at Kaliganj in Lalmonirhat Monday said that mothers could play the most vital role to cut dropout rate of school going children through taking proper care of them.
Succeed, a local NGO under the assistances of Rangpur- Dinajpur Rural Service (RDRS) organised the gathering on Purbo Kadima Non-government Primary School premises under Kaliganj Upazila in the district.
Chaired by a member of local Velaguri UP Bijoy Kumar Roy, Upazila Education Officer Masud Karim attended the gathering as the chief guest and Assistant education Officer Swapan Kumar Das was present as the special guest.
Over 200 mothers and guardians, students, elite, UP chairmen and members, professionals and journalists took part in the mothers' gathering.
