Motivate young NRBs to contribute to dev: President

President Md Abdul Hamid Thursday laid emphasis on motivating younger generation of Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) to contribute to the country's development, reports UNB.

The president made the remarks when a delegation of UK Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its chairman Iqbal Ahmed called on him at Bangabhaban Thursday afternoon.

During the meeting, the delegation members explained the aim and objectives of the chamber to the president.

They said they are working to promote Bangladeshi products in the UK. The delegation members apprised the president that they would like to further enhance trade and commerce between Bangladesh and the UK.

The president appreciated the activities of the chamber and asked the delegation members to take initiatives so that expatriate Bangladeshis would make contribution to the country's socio economic development through utilising their knowledge and making investment.
