Mugger injured in city mob attack

A suspected mugger was injured in a mob attack at KM Das Lane in Wari of the city early Saturday, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Makbul, 45.

Local people said Makbul intercepted a fish trader and tried to snatch money from his possession in the area around 6 am.

Hearing screams of the trader, local people rushed in and caught Makbul red handed and gave him a good beating, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Makbul was wanted in several cases filed with Wari, Sutrapur and Kotwali police stations.
