\\\'Mugger\\\' lynched in Khulna

KHULNA, Aug 22 (UNB): A suspected mugger was killed and another injured in a mob beating in the Basupara area of the city early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Foyzul Islam (28), while the injured is Al Mamun.

Maruf Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonadanga Model thana, said locals caught the duo while mugging in the Basupara area in the early hours.

Later, the angry mob gave them a good beating, leaving them seriously injured.

Rescued, they were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital where Foyzul succumbed to his injuries.
