Muggers loot Tk 0.23 million stabbing 2

In separate incidents, muggers stabbed two people and took away cash money, including foreign currency, worth about Tk 2.36 lakh in the city's Guran and Palashi areas on Friday, reports UNB.
The first incident took place at Palashi crossing where a group of three snatchers riding a motorcycle intercepted Md Rasel, 30, a fish trader, around 6am.
The gangsters stabbed him indiscriminately and snatched Tk 20,000 from him, said victim's sister Sheuly. He was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
In the other incident, Muhit Khan, a Malaysia expatriate, fell victim to mugging when he came out of Haji Mosque at South Guran after Juma prayers.
A gang of hoodlums, numbering 4-5, waylaid him at Haji Mosque Gali on his way to LabaAid Hospital at Dhanmondi to visit an ailing relative.
The muggers took away US$ 2,700 along with his passport after stabbing him indiscriminately, said Himel, a friend of Muhit.
He was first rushed to a local clinic and then shifted to the DMCH, Himel added.
