Muggers shoot trader in city

A tourism businessman sustained minor bullet injuries as miscreants shot him during a mugging bid on the Dhaka University (DU) campus on Tuesday, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Moniruzzaman Masud, 34, owner of 'Tourism Window'.

Quoting witnesses, police said Masud along with one of his friends was going to Nilkhet from the TSC area on a motorbike.

When they reached the DU Teachers' Club, four miscreants riding two motorcycles stopped their bike around 3:00 pm, said officer-in-charge of Shahbagh Police Station Abu Bakar Siddique.
