The government has appointed Muhammad Abdul Muhit, currently serving as deputy chief of mission and minister at the Bangladesh embassy in Washington DC as the first ambassador of Bangladesh to Denmark.
A career diplomat Mr Muhit served at Bangladesh missions in Kuwait, Qatar, Italy and Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York in different capacities other than the Embassy in Washington DC.
