Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said Tuesday that the government will strengthen security measures across the country during Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations for holding the examinations peacefully, reports BSS.
"Law enforcers have already been directed to tighten security during the HSC and equivalent examinations to foil any ill attempt of vested quarters to misguide the examinees," he said in a statement on the eve of the examinations. The minister also wished the examinees good luck.
Seeking cooperation of the parents, the minister urged, "It will take four to five months if we schedule the exams only for Fridays and Saturdays, which is not possible....Please help us to hold the examinations facing strike and blockade called by BNP-led 20 party alliance."
"Only the examinations, scheduled for April 26, 27 and 28 have been postponed due to elections of Dhaka and Chittagong city corporations," he said in the statement
