The namz-e-janza of Zainul Haque Sikder (inset), chairman of Sikder Group of Companies, who passed away in a hospital of Dubai on Wednesday, is taking place in the field of Sikder Real Estate at Dhanmondi in the city on Saturday — Focus Bangla Namaz-e-janaza of Sikder Group's chairman Zainul Haque Sikder was held on Sikder Medical College campus in the city after Johr prayers on Saturday, reports UNB.
Many people including politicians, ministers, members of parliament and Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Fazle Noor Taposh attended the janaza of the country's leading industrial entrepreneur and also a close associate of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
A team of Dhaka District Police gave guard of honour to the freedom fighter before the janaza. Later, his body was taken to Shaiatpur for burial, said an official of the Sikder Group.
